Blowers Roots
Blowers with ROOTS rotary pistons are oil-free positive-displacement units for compressing air or other gases up to rather low overpressure and underpressure, while being simultaneously characterised by very high flow rate and a high purity of the forced through gas.
The construction of blowers is based on a modern positive-displacement rotary compressor stage containing two moulded rotors equipped with three teeth each, compression chamber and belt transmission. The compressor stage is driven by an electric motor through custom-designed driving V-belts. Machines are equipped with suitable apparatus system containing the following: inflow and outflow silencer, safety relief valve, non-return valve and balancing valve, as well as a suction silencer and appropriate connecting elements.
The construction of the blower stages reduces the fragmentary pulsations of the transported gas to the level below 2% of operating pressure and thus results in that that the blowers are characterised by outstanding utilisation coefficient and reliability factor. Both the operation noise level and the temperature of the transmitted gas have been reduced. Reinforced shafts and bearings result in the possibility to obtain higher operating pressures, as well as higher rotational speeds. The application of special insulations in blowers’ stages guarantees that the operating space of these stages is separated from the oil chamber, thus preventing any potential oil leak.

OPERATING PARAMETERS of the individual types of blowers are located within certain determined ranges, the extreme values of which are the following:
• overpressure output up to 1000 mbar and flow rate in the range between 0.33 m3/min up to 170 m3/min
• underpressure output up to 500 mbar and flow rate in the range between 0.3 m3/min up to 143 m3/min
• motor power from 0.1 kW up to 250 kW
